Gilroy

Gilroy is the "undisputed garlic capital of the world," although it dedicates very few acres to growing it these days. The legendary local garlic farms have been declining due to soil disease since 1979. Now the San Joaquin Valley grows most of California's garlic. Yet, 90% of the world's garlic is processed or packaged here.
