Ash ForkDeclaring itself the "Flagstone Capital of the USA," Ash Fork is in the high desert grasslands. The town originally grew up around a railroad siding built near Ash Creek in 1882; passengers and freight transferred to stagecoaches or wagons for Prescott and Phoenix. After a long history as a railroad town, Ash Fork now serves as a highway stop and a center for livestock and sandstone quarrying. |
