Violinist Hye-Jin Kim and guest conductor David Lockington bring to life Copland’s Buckaroo Holiday from “Rodeo,” Saint-Saens’s Violin Concerto No. 3 in B minor, Op. 61 and Elgar’s Enigma Variations.
With Maestro Joel Levine stepping down next year, the Oklahoma City Philharmonic is showcasing six possible candidates this season, one of whom is British native David Lockington, for the position of new Music Director. Lockington is currently the Conductor Laureate of the Grand Rapids Symphony, the Music Director of the Modesto Symphony and the Music Director of the Pasadena Symphony.
