Presented by the Junior League of Oklahoma City, “Speaker in the City” is a new annual event promoting healthy choices and lifestyle changes. Actress and mental illness advocate Carrie Fisher will share her unique perspective with Civic Center audiences on January 18 at 7:00 PM.
Fisher has taken a groundbreaking and very public stance on mental illness. She has given honest testimonies of the trials and triumphs of battling both addiction and bipolar disorder, displaying a no-holds-barred attitude when it comes to the realties of mental health conditions. Whether mental illness affects you, a family member or a friend, this is bound to be an inspiring talk to kick off 2017.
The event will be question-and-answer format. All questions must be pre-submitted through the Junior League of Oklahoma City’s website.
$35 – General Admission w/ open seating in Balcony level
$60 – General admission w/ open seating in Upper Orchestra and Mezzanine levels
$200 – VIP admission w/ open seating in Lower Orchestra level and access to meet-and-greet + private reception
All proceeds from this event, including the VIP event, will be invested locally and expressly designated to improve the health and wellness of the Oklahoma City community.
