Hoboken Coffee Roasters was born in 2012, a shared dream of husband and wife team Trey and Mallory Woods. Six months after meeting, the two were married and relocated to Eugene, OR, where they spent a year studying the coffee culture of the Pacific Northwest. After selling both their cars, they traversed the 2,200-mile journey back to Oklahoma on a couple of bikes, an espresso machine purchased and shipped to meet them back in Guthrie.

A handful of odd jobs later, they purchased an old tire garage and went to work turning it into the Hoboken Coffee Roasters of today. Boasting an original wood ceiling, stained concrete floors and a menagerie of reclaimed tables and metal chairs, Hoboken quickly became a favorite local hangout for those in Guthrie and from miles around.

The menu is fairly simple: coffee, not coffee, and baked-from-scratch desserts and treats. Beans from Colombia, Nicaragua, Rwanda and other corners of the earth are ground in-house for the freshest coffee possible.

Hoboken Coffee Roasters was even the subject of a 2015 deadCENTER Film Festival short film, giving viewers a brief glimpse into the shop’s truly unique atmosphere. To check it out, click here.
