For family-friendly seasonal fun, look no further than the 5th Annual Pumpkinville presented by OG&E at Myriad Botanical Gardens! Come out for a celebration of pumpkins, harvest and all things fall. More than 3,000 pumpkins will fill the Children’s Garden along with crafts, games, imaginative displays, parties and more. Pumpkinville is free for Myriad Gardens members, and non-members are $6. The pumpkin painting activity costs an additional $5 per pumpkin. Each weekend families can enjoy a variety of activities and entertainment — see below for complete details.


CIDER PRESS DEMONSTRATION AND TASTING

Fridays, October 7, 14 and 21, 1-1:30 pm at the Pavilion Lawn
Free ($2 suggested donation per child)

Learn how cider is made as and try out the old-fashioned cider press each Friday during Pumpkinville. Join in on the cider making and enjoy a taste of this delicious juice at the end.


HOW TO CREATE AN HERBAL HOME

Herbs aren’t scary or mysterious and they’re not just for teas! Come learn how to incorporate simple herbs into your home and busy lifestyle. Join this class to discover tips for growing, drying and using herbs that will save you time and money while improving your health and increasing your happiness.


BRICKTOWN HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS TO PUMPKINVILLE

Saturdays, October 8, 15, 22, 12-4 pm and Sundays, October 9, 16, 23, 12-4 pm
$1 per rider; Children 3 and under are free; Handicapped accessible

Climb aboard the Bricktown Holiday Inn Express Train for a ride on a train around the fantastically fall Gardens each Saturday and Sunday from 12-4pm. $1 per rider, Ages 3 and Under FREE.


PAINTING IN THE GARDEN SERIES WITH WINE AND PALETTE

Wine and Palette instructors will guide participants in painting their own unique and personal pumpkin! This is the last of Wine and Palette's yearly series.


STORYTIME ON GRANDMOTHER’S PORCH

Best for ages 4-9

Curl up on Grandmother’s Porch to hear spooky, mysterious, and even funny stories each Saturday during Pumpkinville. Stories include “Ten Timid Ghosts” by Jennifer O’Connell, “Room on the Broom” by Julia Donaldson and “Not Very Scary” by Carol Brendler.


PUMPKIN CARVING CLASS WITH DAVID HOLLAND

Saturday, October 8 & 22, 2-3 pm on The Pavilion Lawn
Members $18 and Non-Members $20; register online here.
Best for ages 8 and older

In this class you’ll follow pumpkin carver David Holland through the process of carving a traditional jack-o-lantern using curved and straight line cutouts in a pumpkin that you will take home with you at the end of the class. You can light it up at home to amaze your friends!  And then the night before Halloween, you can carve your own pumpkin at home with a pattern you chose, or draw to get the pumpkin of your dreams.


PUMPKINVILLE HALLOWEEN PARTY: GARDEN MONSTER BASH

Saturday, October 22, 6:30-8:30 pm
Members: $10 per child and $8 per adult; Non-Members: $13 per child and $11 per adult

The monsters at this Halloween party are definitely more friendly than frightening! Join Myriad Gardens for ghoulish garden games, eerie entertainment and spook-alicious treats. There will be prizes for those who don their creepy, crawly and cute costumes. Space is limited, so reserve early. This event is sponsored by Soccer City.
