Oklahoma Contemporary is proud to partner with Scissortail CDC and Oklahoma Latino Cultural Center to be one of the hosts of the Anita Martinez Mariachi Festival! The 2018 festival will include workshops, performances and a visual arts exhibition by Oklahoma City students in the Oklahoma Contemporary galleries.
Though many of the workshops are with targeted schools, these elements of the festival are open to the public:

Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center. Free for seasoned musicians who have an interest in the mariachi style.

Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center. Free for all.
5:30 PM Tuesday, Feb. 6 | Tuesday Tour
This special edition of Tuesday Tours includes an introduction to mariachi and a short performance by guitarist Robert Ruiz as well as a tour of Corazón: Student Art Exhibition by curator Narciso Arguelles. Free.
6 PM Tuesday, Feb. 6 | Corazón: Student Art Exhibit Reception
Celebrate the Corazón Student Art Exhibit. Free.
1-4 PM Saturday, Feb. 10 | Mariachi Make + Take
Drop in to create colorful paper guitars and tissue-paper flower bracelets in this family friendly art workshop. Free.
