Join the Oklahoma City Boathouse District for the inaugural High Water Rescue Conference, a floodwater training conference held at the RIVERSPORT Rapids Whitewater Center. During this three-day event, first responders will be educated on new and proven water rescue skills, refresh on basic skills, and have the opportunity to hear nationally recognized presenters.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn and refine floodwater rescue techniques in still water and class III/IV rapids. Instructors from across the region will teach courses like High Water Vehicle Rescue, GPS Usage in Floodwater Rescue, Search Dog Deployment during Flood Events, Pinned Victim Water Rescue, Aerial and Ground Ladder Use, and Boat Operations in Swiftwater. Leading industry vendors will be onsite to demonstrate their newest equipment. This conference is available to all rescuers regardless of prior training or current skill set.

Day one of the conference will consist of group presentations and classroom sessions. Days two and three will be held at the RIVERSPORT Rapids Whitewater Center where they will have a variety of hands on/in water classes to attend. Classes will run approximately 8 AM to 5:30 PM each day.
