at Science Museum Oklahoma

Join Science Museum Oklahoma for a daylong celebration of curiosity and creativity at the museum’s inaugural Tinkerfest from 9 AM to 3 PM! Admission is free.

Tinkerfest will encompass the entire museum and grounds, bringing together makers, artists, crafters, engineers and educators to showcase how their diverse skills converge.

Activities will include: beginner's carpentry | blacksmithing | board game design | bookbinding | candle making | a car take-apart | cardboard airplanes and cars | circuit blocks | comic drawing | cosplay | DJ/turntablist | electronics take-apart | encaustic monoprints | engineering process | foil sculpting | gravity well | instrument playground | light painting | loom knitting | marbling | plastic fusion | pneumatic rockets | pouring molds/patina metal | renewable energy | robotics | rope making | pancake artistry | shadow play | soldering | spinning | sundials | tops | upcycled birdhouses | weaving | ziplines | and more!

All of the museum's permanent exhibits, as well as Science Live and Kirkpatrick Planetarium shows, will be available during Tinkerfest. Activities will conclude at 3 PM but the museum will remain open until 6 PM. Upon arrival, you’ll need to check in at the museum’s box office to receive a wristband.
