Inside the historic Paramount Pictures Building on Film Row is The Paramount Theatre, an intimate black-box theatre that’s home to the OKC Improv Group, the City Cabaret OKC and regularly hosts plays, musicals, performance art and other live events. This building, now adorned with murals of notable Hollywood actors, was once the distribution center for Paramount Pictures in OKC from the early 1920s to the mid 1950s. Theatre owners throughout the Midwest would visit to select upcoming films, pick up promotional materials and purchase concession items.
