If big music and even bigger fireworks is your thing, then come on out to State Fair Park this Fourth of July for Red, White and Boom! This annual Independence Day concert for the entire family features the OKC Philharmonic, conducted by Alexander Mickelthwate, with the Philharmonic Pops Chorale in a presentation of the Patriotic Pops. The concert program will also include Sousa marches, a rendition of “America the Beautiful,” music of Irving Berlin, “God Bless the USA” and more, closing with a grand fireworks display.
This celebration for the whole family is free and open to the public. Parking will be available for free as well; enter the fairgrounds at Gates 5 & 6 for the best access to parking. Food vendors will be on site. Please no pets, coolers or glass bottles. Featuring special guest David Holt, mayor of Oklahoma City.
Gates open at 6:30 p.m.
Concert at 8:30 p.m.
Fireworks at approximately 10:00 p.m.
