Downtown Oklahoma City has evolved into an arts, culture, entertainment and business hub that welcomes countless visitors and that a wide variety of people call home. The downtown area is comprised of seven different districts, each with its own charming character and flair.

If it’s entertainment you’re looking for, there’s no better place than Bricktown. This former warehouse district now features the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, a mile-long scenic canal, dozens of restaurants, clubs, family activities and venues plus hotels and a movie complex within easy walking distance.

Looking for arts and culture? OKC’s thriving Arts District features the Civic Center Music Hall, the Oklahoma City Museum of Art and the newly renovated Myriad Botanical Gardens and Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory.

The Arts District is within walking distance of the Business District, which features hotels, restaurants and a terrific view from the top of the Devon Tower, the seventh tallest building west of the Mississippi and one of the top 40 tallest buildings in the nation. Nearby Park Plaza is a developing office district, and Automobile Alley, named for its abundance of car dealers in the 1920s, is now filled with eclectic shops, restaurants and coffee houses. Film Row housed film exchanges for studios like Paramount and MGM in the 1930s, and now these art deco-style buildings host art galleries and a classic movie theatre. Deep Deuce District, a hotbed of jazz music and African-American culture in the early 20th century, has transformed into a true downtown neighborhood with restaurants, late night hot spots and art galleries.
